The Certified Facilities Operator Specialist program is designed to meet
industry needs and aids in demonstrating a participant’s competency to
current and future employers. Participants completing this program will be
highly desirable to employers due to the demand for skilled labor in the oil
and gas industry. This is equally beneficial to employers because there will
be little to no loss of production attributed to training and managing newly
hired employees. The target audiences are all field service and support
personnel, production foreman and supervisors, safety personnel and other
professionals who desire to gain an understanding about the basic theory,
details of selection, operating and maintaining surface production facilities.
The program provides the participant with the essential skills, knowledge
and techniques for a career as a facilities operator. The facilities operator
must have an understanding of industry standards, safety and hazards
awareness, quality processes and maintenance awareness in order to
safely and efficiently work as a facilities operator. A participant who
